Christopher James

After studying Fine Art in Hull, gaining BA (hons), Christopher James trained then worked as a ceramic restorer. Through regular research into the oriental pottery he worked with, he developed a love of oriental art. Particularly he was drawn to the ancient tradition of ‘Bird and Flower’ painting. Over many years Christopher has combined this enthusiasm with a fondness and appreciation of British wildlife, particularly birds, into his paintings. He has developed an intricate and detailed style of painting, a style that requires many weeks of work to achieve.
