Shirley Spottiswoode
Born in Rye at Cadborough Farm in 1933, Shirley spent much of her wartime childhood there with views of Camber Castle, Rye, Winchelsea and Dungeness part of life.
She attended Hastings Art School when lovely Vincent Lines gave every encouragement.
Later, she taught art and crafts to children.
Teaching is the best way of learning, in Shirley’s opinion.
Printmaking is a recent source of joy and discovery.
